Armed with my pictures and Italian birth certificate
we went to the Muncipio in Lettomanoppello. We were greeted by Maria.
She lived in Cambridge, Mass. for awhile and spoke English pretty well.
She said she was a Toppi but didn't recognize any of the pictures..
She was going to bring us to a man, Pasquale, who knew everyone in town.
He's the one looking at the pictures.
